Lemon Ginger Water

Ingredients:

  • 1 to 2 lemons
  • 2-3 inches of fresh ginger root
  • 4 cups of water
  • Sweetener (optional, like honey or stevia)

Instructions:

  1. Prepare the Ginger: Peel and slice the ginger into thin pieces.
  2. Lemon: Slice the lemons and remove seeds. You can also zest the lemons for extra flavor.
  3. Combine Ingredients: In a large jar, add the ginger slices and lemon slices (and zest, if using).
  4. Add Water: Pour 4 cups of water over the ginger and lemon slices.
  5. Infuse: Seal the jar and let it infuse for at least 24 hours at room temperature, or in the fridge for a more refreshing taste.
  6. Strain and Serve: After infusing, strain out the solids. Pour the liquid into clean bottles or a glass. Optionally, add a sweetener to taste.
